15 Years of JF Board.

15 years ago in 1996 I was invited to join the Z-Point Bodyboards team and make my first signature model, stocked for the opportunity i start my jorney as a board designer, few years later in 2000 i moved to Genesis Bodyboards where i spent 10 years of my life making my boards for my fans all over the world, last year i joined Custom X Bodyboards where i found myself as a rider and board designer, using the best materials in the business and shaped by one of the best shapers in the world Mr. Pma i found out how good and safe is to ride waves at Pipeline/Hawaii with a real board like Custom X JF, after few months testing the sample board in the world class waves like Pipeline, Backdoor, Off The Wall, Log Cabins, Rockpiles and Rocky Point i finally got to the right shape, the one i've been using its the same to go to the stores, when u buy my board u gonna make sure u gonna be able to ride big waves like Pipeline or medium to little ones at Rockies and u gonna have a solid and fast ride, perfect to get barrels and make air manouvers, also its a perfect board for competitors or free riders, all my 15 years of experience as a board designer are on my new Custom X JF and hope all of u enjoy as much as I am here in Hawaii, Big Aloha to All.

"Magic Mike," Steven Soderbergh's dramatic comedy set in the world of male strippers, will have its world premiere as the closing night program of the Los Angeles Film Festival next month. The film, which stars Matthew McConaughey and Channing Tatum, opens theatrically on June 29. The festival, June 14-24 at L.A. Live's Regal Cinemas downtown as well as at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and REDCAT, announced its lineup Tuesday morning. Film Independent, which presents the festival, previously had announced the opening night presentation (Woody Allen's "To Rome With Love") and its three galas ("Beasts of the Southern Wild," "Middle of Nowhere" and "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World"). The fest, sponsored by the Los Angeles Times, will screen more than 200 features, shorts and music videos. Alex Uranga Wins 2011 Nissan Reunion Bodyboard Pro!

Alex Uranga from the Basque Country in northern Spain is the winner of the   2011 Nissan Reunion Bodyboard Pro at Les Archers in Saint-Pierre, Reunion. Uranga, 22, who won the trials into the main event, took his winning streak all the way to the final, defeating Jake Stone from Dunsborough in Western Australia, with minutes to go, in glassy four to six foot waves. The Basque was carried on the shoulders of his brother and a friend from the water’s edge to the presentation area while the crowd whistled and cheered for him. He dedicated his win to all the people who believed in him back in the Basque Country. “It’s incredible”, said Alex Uranga, “I can’t put these feelings into words”. Jake Stone, 22, beat reigning world champion and local, Amaury Lavernhe in the quarterfinal and Frenchman Pierre-Louis Costes in the semifinal.
