Cirque Du Soleil NYC Auditions September 2011‏.

Cirque du Soleil is seeking professional band leaders with stage experience and versatility to be considered for live performances in its current shows and upcoming creations. We will be hosting auditions in New York City in September 2011.

 

The role:

Cirque du Soleil is looking for gifted band leaders with multiple musical talents. Band leaders must be attuned to every action on stage and support the emotional landscapes of the show with carefully-selected music composed specifically for each act.

 

Interested candidates must submit:

1. A résumé;
2. One photograph;
3. Web links to your personal web site or online videos of your performances;
4. Personal presentation on camera, in which you tell us your name, general background and professional experience (context/company).

Qualifications

• Experience in musical direction (vocal and visual cues) in a theatrical environment, strong leadership, interest in the internal management of the band;
• Strong technique on the instruments listed (keyboard, bass, guitar or drum set), excellent level of interpretation in different music styles;
• Capacity to operate various digital audio workstations during the show and interest in managing the show sampling bank (excellent knowledge of computers);
• Ability to work as part of a team in a constantly evolving context and environment;
• Working knowledge of English.
