North Shore Surf Film Festival Dec. 3rd-5th.

November 18, 2010, Haleiwa, Hawaii  - The North Shore Surf Film Festival will be highlighting during the Festival a night of surf films and special footage of three time world Champion Andy Irons.  Irons recent passing will be celebrated on Dec 5th with a collection of surf films sharing his talent and accomplishments in his surfing career.  A special clip of his phenomenal shorebreak tube ride at this past Eddie Contest will be only one of the memorable moments on this night.  Special guest have been invited who will all be there to share on a champions contribution to the surfing world.
The Festival will be taking place at the Mokuleia Polo Field on December 3rd, 4th and 5th, with feature and short films, DJ and live music on Sunday Night with Titus Kinimaka and the Kauai Boys.  Gates will open at 5 pm on Friday and there will be food and drinks available to the public. A VIP Reception will be held nightly from 5:30 to 6:30 pm (VIP includes; food, drinks, preferred seating and preferred parking).  Saturday and Sunday the gates will open at 3 pm, with an exciting Polo Exhibition featuring Pro Surfer Jaime Sterling and many outstanding Polo Players. Each night the Festival will screen two feature surf films and selections of short films, many of these major award winners and Hawaii premieres.
Films screening during the Festival are:  Who Is JOB?, Scratching the Surface, Super Natural, Down With The Ship, Sea Of Darkness,  High 5,  Fly In The Champagne, Tarp Pits, Guardians Of The Sea, Lino, I Like To Surf, Ice Boards, and I Surf Because.  Many of these films have garnered 24 nominations at the upcoming Surfer Poll Awards and a few are Hawaii Premieres.  Sea Of Darkness, which is nominated for Best Surf Film and Best Documentary is making its Hawaiian Premiere at the Festival.  It has won nine awards this year at top surf film festivals and director Michael Oblowitz will be on hand as well as many other film directors and surfers starring in these films.
Tickets are $20 each evening or consider the All Access VIP Gold Pass for all three nights for $150. The VIP Silver Pass for your choice of two nights for $100 and a VIP Bronze Pass for one night at $60.
